Here are our announcements for this week:
Each month, we go to two of our nursing homes in our community to share the love of Jesus with the residents. We sing some hymns, share a message, and meet with those who join us. Come and join us as we bring Jesus to those who cannot come to a Sunday gathering.
Our Youth Group meets on Sunday nights from 4:30pm-6:30pm with a hang out time where you can play video games, board games, or pool, a message and small groups, and a fun game together.
The women have started their Fall Bible study through the book of Galatians. This group meets every Wednesday night at 6:30pm between now and October 23rd.
Are you in need of a date night? Do you need a few hours to get something done and it would be easier without the kids? If that’s the case, we may be able to help.
At 6th & Gibbs, we are going to be offering free Parents’ Night Out events throughout the school year. You are welcome to come, drop your kids, Pre-K through 6th grade, off in a safe environment where they will play games, sing songs, eat snacks, make a craft, and watch a movie.
Space will be limited to each event and will be first come, first served. We will accept new registrations until we hit capacity. Registering ahead of time saves your spot and saves time when you drop off your kids.

September is a month with five Sunday and that means that there will be a 5th Sunday Rally at the end of the month. This month, we will head to Drain Church of Christ on Sunday, September 29th at 6pm for a night of singing.
The ladies of our church get together each month for a meal and devotion time at Stacy’s Covered Bridge here in town. We hope all women, whether you call our church home or not, will come and join us for this time of fellowship together.
Our men get together monthly to share in a breakfast and devotion together. Come on out and join us on the 2nd Saturday of the month. All guys are welcome!
We are about to have our 5th Annual Trunk or Treat here in our church parking lot on Saturday, October 26th from 4-6pm. And we need your help to make it happen. First, we need candy. If you can donate some, it would be a huge blessing. Second, we need help the day of the event. Check out the sign up sheet in the lobby if you can decorate a trunk or help us by running a game.
We have a prayer meeting that meets each Sunday morning before our service to pray for the church and our community. We believe that prayer is the most powerful thing we can do for one another, so come out and join us this Sunday at 9am.
If you are available to help us get the church ready for our Sunday morning gatherings, let us know! There is a sign up sheet in the lobby, or you can give us a call (541-942-3822) so that we can put you down on the list.
A mission we support here at 6th & Gibbs is Grove Christian Camp. They have a mission that is dedicated to bringing people to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, while at the same time teaching and equipping Christians to a more mature relationship of service and commitment to Christ.
During the year, they have some great opportunities to help all of us grow in our faith. Here are the ones that are coming up fast. We have sign up sheets on our info table, but you can also sign up directly at the Grove Camp website by clicking here!
