Don Shelton
Interim Minister
Don Shelton grew up in Florence, OR. After graduation in 1972, he attended San Jose Bible College. There he met Delores Shelton. They were married June 1975 and he graduated June 1976 with a BA in Pastoral Care. He was hired as Youth Minister for Foothill Blvd. Church of Christ in Oroville, CA where he served for 4 1/2 years. The family then moved to Eastern Oregon where he was Pastor of the Heppner Christian Church for 6 years. From there, he was hired by Delight Valley Church of Christ in Cottage Grove, OR, where he served for almost 20 years. For 2 years he was out of fulltime ministry until God called him to pastor the Willamina Christian Church. They lived and served there for 11 1/2 years before he retired from fulltime ministry in June 2020 and moved back to Cottage Grove. In February 2025, Don began as Interim Pastor. He and Delores celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2025. The couple has one son, three daughters and seven grandsons.
